About Me

My career began in 1994 as a volunteer in an autism unit at Nova Southeastern University in South Florida. Within two weeks, I began my life's passion of working with special needs children as an assistant for students diagnosed with varying degrees of autism and related disorders.

Shortly after that, I began my supported inclusion shadowing services for children ages 18 months through age 8 and have worked in over 15 private school settings in the Boca Raton/Palm Beach  County area and continue to do so today.

My shadowing students' abilities range from mild speech disorders to significant social and language impairments in a typical classroom setting. All of my students have had incredible success transitioning to either part time support or independently functioning in a classroom environment without a shadow.

In 2012, I started my RPM journey when I traveled to Austin to attend Soma Mukhopadhyay's RPM Introductory Course. After returning from my trip, I introduced RPM to my 9 year old (limited verbal ) ABA student who I had worked with since she was 18 months old and is now a teenager. I was selected by Soma to intern at the HALO clinic and over the next three years (2013-2015) earned their Highest Qualified RPM Provider Certification in the summer of 2015. During that time, I also worked with students at home and part of the summers at HALO under Soma's supervision.

In addition, my unique set of skills which include (but are not limited to) local services and traveling out-of-state as needed, registered behavioral technician, life/functional skill strategies, fine motor and gross motor skills activities incorporated in every session, RPM certified, tutoring for typical and special needs students and consulting strategies at home and school.
